Steve Pride Steve started training when we opened the Four Oaks club over 24 years ago and since that day Steve has missed a handful of training nights. However it was during his later stages of his journey to Black Belt he found himself severely injured after a near fatal car accident. This would be the point when most would say enough is enough and give in - Steve on the other hand is made of harder stuff and continued the journey to Black Belt with a steel pin in his arm and restricted movement.
When the steel rod was finally removed his progress started again and his enthusiasm and expert teaching has motivated many within the association. During this journey Steve has started a family and has encouraged many members of his own family to train with us.
Steve has a natural ability in Jujitsu and is one of Chongshin Do's top authorities on this art form.
Steve has attained many Martial Art qualifications inc Coaching diplomas , judging & refereeing. He also holds SCI Aikijutsu (Black Belt Jujitsu) level 3.
He currently helps coach the members of Sutton and Four Oaks and has the respect & friendship of all his students.
Steve is a superb coach that motivates and encourages students to get the best from each class
Steve has also developed a natural ability and flare to refereeing - Steve has been refereeing full-contact and semi-contact bouts for many years now and has become one of the BKBU's top referee's. Steve is now referee at all the major BKBU fight nights - and has already been asked to referee many more top class fighting events - he is establishing himself as one of MAAS 's and BKBU best.
Steve was awarded his 5th Dan early in 2015 from 10th Dan Grandmaster Soke Brian Dossett -
