Richard has been been a member of the Chongshin Do association  for well over 20 years, he gained a wealth of knowledge from previous associations studying Kick Boxing and Karate. He successfully graded to 1st Dan Black belt at 62 years of age proving that age is just a number.
Now at 81 years of age he is a leading figure at the Blue Coats Academy club in Walsall, teaching both junior and adult classes.
​Currently he is a 4th Dan black belt working towards his 5th Dan Masters belt later this year.
