Chongshin Do - Instructors

Paul Taylor

Thanks to his training in Chongshin Do -
Paul has now turned professional with his fighting -
Iincluding APRIL 2007 "UFC"

Sensei Paul Taylor Started Chongshin Do at 16 years of age over 10 years ago.
Paul was always very disciplined and worked hard right from the start.
At the age of 18 he entered the ring to fight Full-Contact for the first time - Although up against a heavier and more experienced opponent - Paul showed the power he was developing and knocked him down with a roundhouse kick to the body. A taste of things to come. At 19 and into his twenties Paul continued to grade well and was soon up in the highest rankings at the Bloxwich club. Each fight took him closer to his dream of being a Champion. At twenty he achieved his Black Belt and the Bloxwich club became his own and he trains & teaches there twice a week. Mon & wed 6-8.30pm

Paul is experienced in many art forms and was cross training for a long time with other forms of Martial art including JKD - all this expanded his knowledge of fighting arts and he was ranked no1 in the run up to the MAAS - Heavyweight Full-Contact British Championships.
Paul had a hard fight and won on points - he continued to fight at "heavyweight" a few more times before loosing a few Kg's and found his natural fighting weight -
Paul began to dominate the Cruiserweight division and again after beating the very tough competitor Paul Grieves he became the British Cruiserweight Champion. Having succeed his dream he put his sights on the World Title and began the training. The shear power he can deliver was apparent as he took only 4 1/2 minutes to win his first World MAAS Title - great stuff. For more info on the fights- see fight reviews

Paul is currently working the "doors" in Walsall - experiencing first hand how & what really works on the street.
Paul has coaching diplomas in Jujitsu, Refereeing, Judging and First Aid.
He is a first class Instructor with experience and a great attitude to get the best from each student.

Thanks to his training with Chongshin Do Paul is pursuing a career in "Cage Fighting" and has been tipped as one of the best in his weight. Paul in April 2007 appeared in the world famous UFC octogan.
