It is amazing to be writing the penultimate newsletter of 2003. So much has happened in this year and a full round up will be in the final newsletter in December - But there is still a lot to fit in before we break up for Christmas. Many members will be making another step forward in their development and learning within Chongshin Do - The following Grading dates are set. Practice, perfect and be ready

Gradings
The next grading will take place on Tuesday 18th - this will be for all high grades Green Belt (6th Kup) and above. Lesson at 7pm - Grading starts at 8.30pm. Junior Grading at Sutton Girls School Monday 17th 6pm

December Gradings -
Wednesday 10th - Frank F Harrison School - Bloxwich 7-8.30pm.
Tuesday 16th December Arthur Terry Sports Centre, Kittoe Rd 8.30pm - for all remaining Sutton members who qualify to grade. Wed 17th - Delves Gym, Walsall - 7pm All remaining Walsall & Bloxwich Members who qualify to grade. Parents - End of year Juniors Gradings will be announced on Club Memo's.

(Junior sponsored spar will be held at individual clubs - see your instructors)

Every year we hold a sponsored spar - this is a chance for our many members to get together, meet and fight!… have fun and raise some serious money for various charities. Over the last few years we have raised several thousands (over £9,000 to date) - we have given it to local and national charities - however in recent years it has gone towards helping our members - (at the 2000 Sponsored Spar, Jim Lloyd's son received a £3,500 electric wheel chair - to help him in school as he deals with cerebral Palsy, at 2001- Ben Vowels's brother got a special £700 bike to help him with the same disability and Last year half of the £1000 raised went towards The Air Ambulance Charity (as it saved Steve Prides Life) and the other half to the Children's intensive care unit at the Manor hospital in Walsall (it saved the lives of Richard Barretts twin girls lives).
Most years we raise well over £1000 - lets do it again this year - ask your friends, family and work colleagues to donate towards helping others at this festive time of the year -

End of year presentations
Thursday 18th December (After the Sponsored Spar - aprox finish 9pm)
Every year we hold a presentation evening to commemorate those students who have excelled - Trophies for Student of the year, great achievement etc.
After this is the Black Belt presentation to those who were successful at this years Black Belt exam.
This is a great event to witness and be a part of. Please be there to raise money in the sponsored spar and support your dedicated members as they achieve these great honours.

Meditation - Self awareness Seminar
Due to the great feedback from the members who took part in this "introduction to meditation day" another will be held in the new year - this time going much deeper into the medative state of mind - for those interested should see Me.
