Seminar Surrey

Sensei
Steve Pride & I took part in a Masters Seminar last weekend at the SCI Dojo
HQ in Surrey. 6 hours flew by with sessions from Kancho Cox (practical Self-defence
/ pressure points), Steven Dossett (kickboxing), Roy Alison (combat Jujitsu) and
Soke himself (Aikido Flow & harmony).
This was a taster of what is to
come on 27th July -
lets just say you will be blown away with the coming seminar
and you must book your place now.
SOKE
- SEMINAR in the Walsall
This
is now confirmed and places are filling up - be quick to avoid disappointment.
Sunday July 27th - Walsall Club Dojo - University of Wolverhampton (Walsall
Campus) off Delves Rd (off Broadway) Starts at 10am - finish 4pm.
A 6 hour
seminar on Self Defence with Kancho Cox 7th Dan, Roy Alison (ground work &
combat Jujitsu) & Soke 10th Dan will take the group through Aikido / Aikijutsu
techniques.
All for only £20 (around £3 per hour!!)
Remember:-Soke
teaches ALL over the WORLD and it is a rare opportunity you should grab with both
hands! - Wear full Gi for grabbing techniques & throws.
Juniors are invited
(under 14yrs) for the first 2 hours £6 - parents please book early.

Chongshin
Do Summer BBQ 27th July (after Seminar)
Weather permitting Dawn
& I will hold the BBQ after the seminar at our house in Shenstone. Even if
you are not making the Seminar - please come along to the BBQ for a drink &
a bite to eat and socialise with other members of Chongshin Do. Please - Feel
free to bring your partners / family to meet the people you fight weekly!! These
are casual laid back affairs with music (hopfuly live music!) and plenty of laughs
- please join us from 6.30pm.

24th - 8.30pm Four Oaks - It is important that all club / part time & Full
time Instructors attend for this update on 2003 - many topics on the agenda including
Black Belt training sessions, Club Instructors courses, Change of Instructors
at certain clubs. Introduce changes to revised Thai + focus drills. Be there!

Grading
Dates
The
following dates are set for graduates who missed the last grading or who are re-taking
their exam.
Tuesday 22nd - Junior Grading 6-7pm Adult Grading 8.30pm (after
class) Arthur Terry Sports Centre
Sutton
members - Summer Closures
Sutton Girls and Plantsbrook schools are closed from
Friday 18th July - Back open from Monday 8th September - during this time it is
important to use the Arthur Terry sports centre to keep up the rhythm of your
training - Tues & Thursdays. 6-7 kids 7-8.30 Adults.
MAAS
KICKBOXING
Sunday October 4th The Royal British Legion - Old Horsham Rd, Crawley, West
Sussex.
Needed:- Semi (Title bouts) & Novice Full Contact fighters for
this event.
These events will soon be here - all kickboxers should see Sensei
Martin Blakeway and / or Ben Vowels with regards to entering these events - an
evening show of Semi-contact Title fights and Full-contact fights. Look out for
Ben as he intends a re-match with the Gatwick Kickboxer!! - we will be sending
a large group to fight and support - please make yourselves known as the program
will be made soon.
First Time kickboxers - MAAS Kickboxing November 23rd Surrey
