Firstly a very happy New Year to everyone - and welcome to all the new members that are joining us over the next few weeks. We hope you enjoy your training and learn much on your journey within the Martial Arts and Chongshin Do. If you know of someone who would benefit from our training - now is the time to tell them to start.

SPONSORED SPAR & End of Year Events
We ended last year fantastically with the Black Belt grading - 5 long serving members made their dream a reality and achieved this prestigious title of Black Belt. Well done to them

- plus we ended the year with a Sponsored Spar - "Fighting For Others" event - we hold every year and have raised several thousands for local people & charities. This time we raised just over £1000. This will go towards a few charities that members have requested. Details to follow - first we MUST get ALL SPONSOR MONEY in ASAP - Please ! many thanks. What does 2003 have in store -

Ben Vowles, Nathan Salmon, Sensei Chris Whiting and others are taking part in a Semi-heavy tournament held by K-STAR kickboxing group on- Jan 25th - Ben Vowles is our Kickboxing team leader - if you want to know about this and other up and coming kickboxing events see Ben. 07929760671 - Ben Vowles.

Semi & Full Contact "In the Ring" Event - In Sutton - March 22nd
KO'd III - "FIGHT NIGHT" a major day & evening event is only two months away - SEMI & FULL-CONTACT Kickboxing / sparring event to be held in Sutton Town Hall on March 22nd. A Great opportunity to take part in a great event and experience the adrenaline first hand as you enter the ring.
Semi-contact Kickboxing /sparring
This is for everyone - Kids, Women & Men can enjoy a controlled spar in the ring - great fun and a great learning experience. Take part in this great opportunity to experience this type of competitive sparring.
During the day on 22nd March. Application forms to be given out soon.
Full-Contact BKBU Kickboxing
This is only for the more serious student, time and effort must go in for preparation to such an event and the time to start is NOW. Tickets for the evening show will go on sale soon - reserve your sears now and watch some of the countries top kickboxers in action. Chongshin Do will have a strong team competing on this show so be there and cheer our guys to victory.

SENI 2003 - NEC - April 27 & 28th
Europe's biggest Martial art exhibition is here again at the NEC - and we will be there performing and demonstrating to the many 1000's that come every year. Chongshin Do has been present since the show started many years ago- so if you want to be a part of the Chongshin do demo team - please see Martin Blakeway for details.

Fight Club
Thursdays - after class - 8.30-onwards
This is preparation time for the Fight Night & SENI demo team - be there - be involved - sparring partners needed for our fighters -

This is going to be a big year in Chongshin Do - is it going to be a big one for you - use every opportunity to learn from and gain valuable experience. These competitions and events are there to expand your Martial Art experience and knowledge - use them .
