contact Kickboxing event - Review Sat 8th May - a small team of
fighters made their way to Surrey. Many thanks to all who participated and learned
a great deal from the experience. Title Attempt - on Hold! James Eccles was
unable to fight due to work commitments and so Phil Carter was his replacement
for the men's middle weight Title. Phil put up a great fight but unfortunately
was unable to bring it back - this will be fought out later this year when James
has a crack at the title he deserves. All in all, out of seven fights - we lost
only this one - others were victories or draws. Lindsay Philips - Win, Kevin Butler
- Win, Sarah Fryer - Draw (against old rival Jody - Gatwick Kickboxing), Phil
Williams - win, Richard Barrett - Draw. Remember these fights are against Kick
boxers who practice this art only - we have this as a "Part" of our
syllabus - credit to everyone - well done - a special mention for Sensei Steve
Pride, who was once again a great ambassador for us as he worked non stop all
day - his fair and just refereeing & judging was noted by Soke. Not satisfied
with that he also stood in for a fight at the "Super Heavy Weight-A Class"
Title. The fight ended a draw! -. Nice one! Gradings
