Club time changes - this affects many members - read on.. Walsall
club (Delves Gym) Due to high number of members at the Walsall club we
have expanded the hours in which you can train there - this will help the club
continue to grow and develop. Juniors can have their own session now and have
the class tailored to their needs. Wednesday will be for Kids 6-7pm and Adults
(12yrs upwards and some selected high grade juniors.) 7.00-8.30pm. This session
will be taken by Sensei's Gary Taylor & John Skeldon with help from Sensei
Martin Blakeway & Jim Lloyd Four
Oaks Gym (Arthur Terry Sports Centre) Due to the large numbers in some
classes - many Black Belts are called upon to help in teaching -In order to maintain
the standards we have set - time must be put aside for the Instructors and senior
members to train themselves - many of the Senior Instructors are helping in teaching
and are unable to expand their own knowledge and development. Therefore I have
proposed and evening slot that MOST can get to - this will be for the Instructors
to exchange ideas and develop their training, coaching and maintaining personal
fitness & technique. Thursday seems the best night for this - Black Belts
that attend on Thursdays will be asked in helping with the Instruction during
the normal session - this ensures that the members get the best possible attention
to syllabus and their technique development. (7.00 - 8.15pm) Then the Instructors
will have a chance to train for 45 mins with their Senior colleagues. Thursdays
times will change slightly - times will be as follows Juniors (all Grades)
6.00 - 7.00pm (As before) Adults (All Grades) 7.00 - 8.15pm Adults - Senior
Grades - Master Class - (Red & Black Belt Members) 8.15 - 9.00pm ALL Black
Belts must make at least one session per month. Fortune
Favours the brave !! Sensei Steve Pride braved the Friday hurricane and
set up camp in the beautiful Dovedale area of the Peak District National Park
- he and his family awoke to a wonderful warm sunny day - Richard Green, his son
and my family and I arrived on the Saturday morning. It turned out to be a great
weekend weather wise and an all round great social - with BBQ and drinks into
the early hours on Sunday. A walk down the river dove and visits to Ilam and other
surrounding beauty spots mad it a great break - Pity many were put off by the
monsoon!! - Maybe next time Summer

FIGHT NIGHT - Semi-Contact & Full-Contact Kickboxing November
20th Crawley - West Sussex - Fighter need to put their names forward ASAP
Message
from Sensei Steve Pride -'Fight or Flight!' Yet another Christmas
grows nearer. At the end of this year another KO Fight Night will be available. Why
not answer that nagging question in the back of your mind - how good am I compared
to others? Can you cut it in the ring? - Well get those questions answered, no
matter win or lose you will find the answer! You
have the best part of 3 months to step up your training, knuckle down and plan! So
you decide to fight - then the question comes - but what if I lose? LOOSE WHAT,
what could you possibly lose that would not have more gain in the balance. You
may lose the fight, but your opponent will still respect you. Your colleagues
at work, friends and family will love you no less, they will probably love you
more and your workmates will see the real you - not afraid to face a challenge,
committed to self improvement - a new respect will be born - but you must prepare
NOW! (Remember the many fighters from this camp that have won - we have a
fantastic winners record - be one of those winners!!) Fail to prepare - prepare
to fail - you have the tools, your instructors will guide you - commit the time
and the effort and you will be a better, more confident person for it. - Give
it a go, tell your instructor to put your name down and crack on! Sensei Steve
